To celebrate the eight years of history created by the Premier Hockey Federation, its players, and its staff, and in advance of the inaugural season of the Professional Women's Hockey League, MeiGray is hosting its final PHF auction, aptly named the PHF Finale Game-Worn Jersey Auction. This auction is comprised of jerseys worn by the league's elite players in 2022-23, many of which were not previously released to the public, so take your final shot and bid now!
The PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the jersey worn by #14 Sydney Brodt of the Minnesota Whitecaps during the 2022- 2023 Premier Hockey Federation season.
Sydney Brodt wore this Black Set 1 jersey while playing for the Minnesota Whitecaps during the 2022-23 Premier Hockey Federation season. It includes the captain's "C".
Brodt was wearing this jersey when she scored her first point in the PHF on November 6, 2022 against the Toronto Six at Canlan Sports Complex in York, ON. The point came as a primary assist on a power play goal scored by Liz Schepers at 17:23 of the first period. It was the first goal of the game for the Whitecaps, cutting their deficit in half. Sadly, it would not be enough as they fell to the Six 3-2 in regulation.
Brodt, who played with the U.S. National Team during the 2022-23 Rivalry Series, scored five goals and made four assists in 21 games for the Whitecaps during the 2022-23 season. She was selected for the PHF All-Star Game and was invited to the ECHL All-Star Game, where she scored the game-winning goal.
Brodt played four seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, serving as captain for the final three seasons. In 2022, she was named the Most Valuable Player in the SDHL. Representing her country, Brodt won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2019 World Championship.
Heading into the Isobel Cup Playoffs on an eight-game losing streak, the Whitecaps completed a shocking sweep of the Boston Pride in the Isobel Cup Semifinals and pushed the Toronto Six to overtime in the Isobel Cup Final.
The Whitecaps wore their Black Set 1 jerseys throughout the regular season from November 5, 2022 through March 12, 2023.
This jersey is a size MD and is registered into the PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number MGG003686.
