Welcome to USA Hockey-MeiGray Group's NTDP Under-18 Team Military-Themed Jersey and Socks Auction.
USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, based in Ann Arbor, MI, is a full-time development program to prepare student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on U.S. National Teams and success in their future hockey careers.
The U.S. National Under-18 Team, part of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, plays a full schedule that includes games against United States Hockey League foes, NCAA Division I and III opponents, and three international games.
On March 3 and March 4, 2017, the Under-18 Team took to the ice wearing military-themed jerseys and socks, facing the Waterloo Black Hawks at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Team USA defeated the Black Hawks, 4-3, on March 3, and 8-3 on March 4.
One set of military-themed jerseys and socks were produced and worn in the two games. There are 21 game-worn jerseys, five game-issued jerseys and 21 pairs of game-worn socks that are up for auction.
The jerseys and socks are manufactured by SP Apparel. The sets of jerseys and socks were collected after the games by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.
This auction is for the actual Military-themed jersey prepared for use by #20, Randy Hernandez.
Hernandez did not play in either game.
This red, cream and blue jersey, a Size 56, has been registered in the USA Hockey-MeiGray Game-Worn Authentication Program as number USA02270.
Proceeds will benefit the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in Ann Arbor, MI.
