The Capitals-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history … an actual stick used by #19 Nicklas Backstrom during the 2015-2016 National Hockey League regular season.
"BACKSTROM" has been printed on the shaft. Both the handle and blade of this stick have been taped. The number "19" has been handwritten on the handle.
The Capitals warranted that this stick was used in a game at Verizon Center during the 2015-16 NHL regular season. MeiGray took possession of this stick at the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.
This Warrior Covert QRL stick is registered into the MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number MGA003669.
Every jersey worn by each of the participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
