To celebrate the eight years of history created by the Premier Hockey Federation, its players, and its staff, and in advance of the inaugural season of the Professional Women's Hockey League, MeiGray is hosting its final PHF auction, aptly named the PHF Finale Game-Worn Jersey Auction. This auction is comprised of jerseys worn by the league's elite players in 2022-23, many of which were not previously released to the public, so take your final shot and bid now!
The PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the jersey worn by #15 Minttu Tuominen of the Metropolitan Riveters during the 2022- 2023 Premier Hockey Federation season.
Minnamari "Minttu" Tuominen wore this Red Set 1 jersey while playing for the Metropolitan Riveters during the 2022-23 Premier Hockey Federation season from November 6, 2022 through February 26, 2023.
Tuominen was wearing this jersey when she scored her first three goals in the PHF in two games on December 3 and 4, 2022 against the at Richfield Ice Arena in Richfield, MN. In the Saturday game, Tuominen broke the ice for the Riveters late in the second period with a power play marker for her first goal in the PHF, assisted by Anna Kilponen and Kendall Cornine. Only 37 seconds into the third period, she repeated the feat on assists from Kilponen and Madison Packer. The next day, December 4, 2022, Tuominen again scored on the power play late in the second period, assisted by Kilponen and Packer. The three power play goals were an early sign of the historic season Tuominen was about to have with the skater advantage.
In 24 games for the Riveters during the 2022-23 season, Tuominen scored nine goals and made five assists, leading the PHF's defenders in goals. Her six goals on the power play set a single-season league record. She was selected to the PHF All-Star game and was a finalist for Defender of the Year.
A six-time champion in the Finnish SM-sarja/Naisten Liiga, Tuominen was named to the league's All-Star Team five times. She won another championship in the Russian ZHL in 2022. Representing her country, Tuominen won one silver medal and four bronze medals at World Championships, and three Olympic bronze medals in 2010, 2018, and 2021.
The Metropolitan Riveters wore their red jerseys throughout the regular season from November 6, 2022 through February 26, 2023.
This jersey is a size MD and is registered into the PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number MGG008697.
