This is the puck that was used by Connor McDavid to score the 25th goal of his Stanley Cup Playoff career. The goal, McDavid's 5th of the postseason, was scored at 11:43 of the second period and was assisted by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evan Bouchard. The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights, 5-1, on May 6, 2023 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
McDavid reached new heights during the 2022-23 season, displaying a level of offensive production not seen in this millennium. His 64 goals are the most in a single season since Alex Ovechkin scored 65 in 2008, and his 153 points represent the most accumulated in a single season since Mario Lemieux finished with 161 in 1996. He earned the Maurice Richard Trophy for the league's top goal scorer, the Art Ross Trophy for the league's top point scorer, the Ted Lindsay Award for the league's most outstanding player as selected by the NHLPA, and the Hart Memorial Trophy for the most valuable player as selected by hockey media.
