The PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the jersey worn by #21 Amanda Pelkey of the Metropolitan Riveters during the 2022- 2023 Premier Hockey Federation season.
Amanda Pelkey wore this blue jersey while playing for the Metropolitan Riveters during the 2022-23 Premier Hockey Federation season. It includes the alternate captain's "A."
Pelkey was wearing this jersey when she scored her 30th point in the PHF on November 19, 2022 against the Toronto Six at the Rink at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. Having spent the last three seasons with the PWHPA, Pelkey had not recorded a point in the NWHL/PHF since the 2018-19 season with the Boston Pride. Her 30th point in the league was her first point of the season and her first with the Riveters, and it came as the primary assist on a goal scored by Riveters captain Madison Packer at 14:10 of the second period. That goal was the fourth of the game for the Riveters, and it would stand as the game-winner as the Rivs notched their first win at American Dream, 6-3.
Pelkey was also wearing this jersey when she tallied her 25th career assist and her 45th career point in a three-point game on March 5, 2023 against the Montreal Force at the Rink at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. Pelkey reached 25 apples with a primary assist on a goal by Madison Packer 32 seconds into the second period. At 8:17 of the second, she earned her 45th career point with another primary assist on a goal by Minttu Tuominen. At 8:35 of the third, she assisted on the Riveters' fourth goal of the game, a go-ahead goal from Sarah Bujold. That goal would stand as the game-winner as the Riveters defeated the Force 4-3 at home.
In 24 games during the 2022-23 season, Pelkey scored five goals and made 14 assists, leading the Riveters and tying for sixth-most assists in the league. She was selected to the PHF All-Star Game for the third time. After a season full of ups and downs, the Riveters went the last two months of the season undefeated at the American Dream, a six-game streak. Pelkey scored seven points on a goal and six assists to help the Riveters finish the 2022-23 season on a high note.
One of a select group to play in the NWHL's inaugural season and the PHF's final season, Pelkey finished with 14 goals and 15 assists in 49 career games with the Boston Pride and the Metropolitan Riveters. In 2016, she won the first Isobel Cup Championship with the Boston Pride, and in 2022 she won the Secret Dream Gap Tour with Team Scotiabank (Calgary) of the PWHPA. Pelkey spent four years at the University of Vermont, serving as captain in her final season. She was the program leader in goals, assists, points, and games played until those records were broken during the 2023 season. Representing her country, Pelkey won two gold medals with Team USA at the World Championships, and won an Olympic gold medal at the 2018 Games in PyeongChang.
The Riveters wore their Blue Set 1 jerseys in 11 games from November 19, 2022 through March 5, 2023. They also wore these jerseys during their 5-3 loss to the Montreal Force in the first PHF game in Quebec on November 26, 2022 at Verdun Auditorium in Montreal, QC.
This jersey is a size MD and is registered into the PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number MGG003859.
MGG also works with the ECHL, USA Hockey, and six National Hockey League clubs: Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Seattle Kraken and Washington Capitals.
