Welcome to USA Hockey-MeiGray Group's 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship Team USA Jersey Auction.
The U.S. World Junior Championship team captured the Bronze Medal after a 9-3 victory over the Czech Republic in the bronze-medal game of the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. The United States won its eleventh medal in the history of the tournament, and sixth bronze.
The 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship was held in Buffalo, New York from December 26, 2017 through January 5, 2018. The U.S. World Junior Championship Men's Team played its games at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, and New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York.
The tournament was highlighted by Team USA wearing Buffalo Bills-themed jerseys in the first-ever outdoor World Junior Championship Game. The game was held in snowy conditions at New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York, the home of the NFL's Buffalo Bills. Team USA defeated Canada, 4-3 in a shootout, before a record World Junior Championship crowd of 44,592.

There was one set of blue, one set of white, and one set of Buffalo Bills-themed jerseys manufactured by Nike and prepared for use by the U.S. National Men's Team in the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship. Each jersey was bar-coded before the tournament. The sets of jerseys were collected after each game by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.
The U.S. World Junior Championship Men's Team wore the set of blue jerseys in one game, the set of Buffalo Bills-themed jerseys in two games, and the set of white jerseys in four games. The players retained the set of white jerseys. The set of blue jerseys was also worn in a 14-0 pre-tournament game victory over Belarus, and a 3-1 pre-tournament game victory over Sweden.
The U.S. World Junior Championship Bronze Medal Winning Team wore the blue jerseys in the following IIHF World Junior Championship game:
*December 28, 2017, a 3-2 loss to Slovakia.
The U.S. World Junior Championship Bronze Medal Winning Team wore the Buffalo Bills-themed jerseys in the following IIHF World Junior Championship games:
*December 29, 2017, a 4-3 shootout victory over Canada.
*January 4, 2018, a 4-2 loss to Sweden in the Semifinals.
This auction is for the actual blue jersey worn by #6 Quinn Hughes.
Hughes played in all 7 games. He had 3 assists in the tournament. Hughes currently plays for the University of Michigan. He is draft eligible in 2018.
