Kourtney Kunichika wore this pink Strides for the Cure jersey while playing for the Buffalo Beauts on January 20, 2018. Kunichika scored the Beauts' lone regulation goal in the game.
The Beauts defeated the Connecticut Whale in the shootout, 2-1, at HarborCenter in Buffalo, N.Y.

The NWHL is the first professional women’s hockey league in North America to pay its players. The inaugural season began October 11, 2015 with the Founding Four: Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Connecticut Whale and Metropolitan Riveters. The Boston Pride became the first team in NWHL history to raise the Isobel Cup on March 12, 2016.
