Welcome to USA Hockey-MeiGray Group's NTDP Under-18 Team Military-Themed Jersey Auction.
USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, based in Ann Arbor, MI, is a full-time development program to prepare student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on U.S. National Teams and success in their future hockey careers.
The U.S. National Under-18 Team, part of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, plays a full schedule that includes games against United States Hockey League foes, NCAA Division I and III opponents, and three international games.
On March 23 and March 24, 2017, the Under-18 Team took to the ice wearing unique 1976 Team USA Canada Cup Military-themed jerseys and socks while facing the Chicago Steel at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Team USA defeated the Steel, 5-4, on March 23, and 8-4 on March 24.
One set of military-themed jerseys and socks were produced and worn in the two games. There are 22 game-worn jerseys and one game-issued jersey.
Each jersey sold in auction will be accompanied by a pair of Military-themed socks.
The jerseys and socks are manufactured by SP Apparel. The sets of jerseys and socks were collected after the games by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.
This auction is for the actual Military-themed jersey worn by #28, Joel Farabee. Farabee signed this jersey after the second game.
Farabee scored one goal in the game on March 23 and recorded two assists in the game on March 24.
This red, white and blue jersey, a Size 56, has been registered in the USA Hockey-MeiGray Game-Worn Authentication Program as number USA09298.
Proceeds will benefit the Region 9 Veterans Community Action Team, a non-profit organization that assists veterans in need.
