The Capitals-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history … a practice jersey worn by #92 Evgeny Kuznetsov in a team practice during the 2017-2018 Washington Capitals’ Stanley Cup Winning Season.
The Capitals finished first in the Metropolitan Division with 105 points (49-26-7), but fell behind two games to none to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs. What followed was a magical run to D.C.'s first major pro sports championship since 1991 and the Caps’ first cup in the franchises 44-year history. The Capitals defeated the Blue Jackets in six games and bested the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games before staging an incredible come-from-behind Eastern Conference Final victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games. Down 3-2 in the series, the Capitals held Tampa Bay scoreless after the 0:33 mark in the second period of Game 5. Finally, the Capitals scored 20 goals in their five-game Stanley Cup Final victory to put an end to the Vegas Golden Knights' incredible inaugural season.
