This CCM Super Tacks stick was used by Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers during the Oilers' 2017-18 NHL Training Camp and/or 2017-18 NHL Preseason.
It has been exclusively authorized for authentication and distribution by the Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers-MeiGray Game-Used Equipment Program, designed to protect the integrity of every item game-used by the NHL's next biggest superstar.
This stick, collected by MGG from the Oilers on October 21, 2017, has been been registered with hologram number MGA006732. The hologram has been affixed to the shaft of the stick.
This stick bears the CCM serial number 93325872 on the shaft.
At 19 years and 266 days old, the Oilers entrusted their leadership to the Richmond Hill, Ontario, native whom they selected first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He became the youngest captain in National Hockey League history on October 5, 2016.
And McDavid has not disappointed. The Oilers clinched their first Stanley Cup playoff berth since 2006 on March 27, 2017 ... and defeated the San Jose Sharks in the first round before losing a tough seven-game series to the Anaheim Ducks.
McDavid that season captured his first Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading scorer, his first Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player, and the Ted Lindsay Award as the NHL's Top Player as voted by the NHL Players Association.
He led the NHL in scoring again last season, earning his second straiight Art Ross Trophy.
